Fox River Motel
Highway M-28,
P.O. Box 91,
Seney, Michigan 49883

The Fox River Motel and Seney are surrounded by thousands of acres of national refuge, state forest, public lakes and rivers making this area bountiful for hunting wild game in their natural habitat. Most common to the area are whitetail deer, black bear, grouse, woodcock, water fowl, bobcat, coyote, fox, and raccoon. The Seney area has been a hunter sportsman's secret for many years. With ample deer roaming in their natural environment you can hunt here starting in October for archery season, into November for gun season, all the way through Black powder season in December. Our customers proudly display their deer on the Fox River Motel Buck Pole established in 1976. Bird hunting for grouse and woodcock is another popular draw to the area. Continuous logging provides a good habitat for small game. Since the lottery license was initiated, the black bear population in this area has grown. Subsequently, this has increased the success rate for bear harvesting.
